Why the redesign?
In our CFD simulations, existing designs (specifically the internal fins) reduced the output flow too much with preference of turbulence (i.e. random flow), despite having an educator nozzle built in, which should have in theory increased flow by around 5 times. We have also found that some designs which have been distributed (specifically noticeable due to its shorter length) do not randomise flow very much at all.
Reef-Print’s revised and improved flow nozzles creates a fine balance between improving flow performance with the educator nozzle and providing optimal random flow through the redesigned internal fins.
